The history behind the brand…
It all started in 1986, when former successful kart driver Albino Parolin decided to move his passion for karting from the track to a small workshop. The economic resources to succeed in motorsports were not at Parolin’s disposal, so young Albino began to build the first frames and engines on behalf of third parties, and servicing talented drivers as Giancarlo Fisichella.
The capabilities of Parolin appreciations all over Europe came together in the early Nineties when the time came to launch the very first Parolin-branded chassis. The brand new chassis achieved its first victories and relevant results both at national and international levels. In just a few years, the Parolin name grew in popularity, and continued to grow reaching North American and Asia/South Pacific markets. The innovative and creative appeal is what set Parolin apart from its competitors.
Parolin has invested heavily in technologies and new generation CNC machines, which are nowadays one of the strongest values of the Company.
The Australian Story of Parolin
Under the guidance of Shane Wharton/SHAMICK Racing, the Parolin brand exploded to new levels on the Australian Shores in 2018 and quickly became the market leader.
Shane’s overall passion for karting and business expertise saw Parolin Australia offer the highest level of customer service by fulfilling their customer needs either in store or at the track.
Parolin Australia has established a team with over 50 years of karting experience combined. Our team is always willing to help, advise and support newcomers to karting as well as the most experienced drivers to help them reach their full potential.
In 2019, Shane enlisted the services of highly experienced racer Kris Walton, a former National Champion, V8 Ute Champion and kart racer of more than 20 years to undertake the day to day running of the Parolin Australia business.
The Parolin Brand is one of the most recognisable in the Australian Karting community and the results speak for themselves. Parolin were crowned the 2021 and 2022 Australian Manufacturers Champions, along with being the chosen chassis for hundreds of State Title and National Champions throughout the last few years.
